The Program 

The Gan program builds upon the basic introduction to Jewish Life taught in the Nitzanim program. Children will experience more emphasis on the holidays, using compelling stories, crafts or role-playing activities. Students will also be introduced to Shabbat observance, to the Hebrew alphabet and key words, written and oral. Activities will include music, story-telling,dance, games and puppetry.

Key Competencies 

Bible: Stories from the Book of Genesis

Holidays: Rituals and Blessings, Biblical Figures

Prayers: Blessings for Food, Shabbat, Shem'a, Mode Ani, Adon Olam

Hebrew: Introduction to the Hebrew alphabet and key words in the Jewish Calendar and Life Cycle.

Hebrew: Shalom Uvrachah Express

Tefillah: Torah Time Siddur and Siddur Ma Tov (Behrmann House)

Holidays: I can celebrate the Jewish Holidays ( Torah Aura)

Torah: Learn and do Bible Book (Behrmann House)

Shabbat: A Day Apart-Shabbat at Home (Hartman Institute)
