Hebrew High School

Students enroll in the high school program right after their B'nei Mitzvah. Classes are informal and relevant to the students' lives. They discuss Jewish texts and values, American politics, art, humor, film, Israel and anti-Semitism, with experienced teachers, the rabbi and the youth director. The high school meets one evening a week (currently Tuesday nights), after sharing dinner together.

Contact the PJC Education Director, Ana Turkienicz, at or (914) 738-6008, ext. 2, for more information.

Gesher Teen Youth Group

High school students can join the Gesher Social Action Alliance between the Pelham Jewish Center and Shaarei Tikveh of Scarsdale. The kids do acts of kindness, have social events, and go on a 5 day trip of community service over February vacation. Last year they went to Puerto Rico to help restore and repaint an elementary school and repair its garden that were damaged from Hurricane Maria.

Gesher means bridge.

The whole world is a very narrow bridge, and the most important thing is not to be afraid. כל העולם גשר צר מאוד
