Holidays
It is important to us at the PJC that every holiday be special. Each holiday has its religious service and rituals, and we strive to make these community events. We dance with our Torahs on Simchat Torah, share a scrumptious second seder on Passover, break bread together in our synagogue Sukkah on Sukkot, and so on.
We also make necessary ritual objects accessible for each holiday, such as a sukkah, etrog, and lulav on Sukkot. Because we are a small synagogue, we depend on our members to ensure that there is a minyan, a quorum of ten people required for prayer, for each holiday service. Services start at 8:45 am and are followed by a light kiddush and study. For a list of all Jewish holidays and their descriptions, please visit our section about the holidays or read about Parashiot.
Please refer to our Calendar for specific service times. We look forward to celebrating with you.
